This will include reporting and where necessary facilitating problem solving and continuous improvement activity.
Collation and auditing of factory paperwork
To be responsible for ordering and maintaining of technical consumables required for production.
To manage all aspects of daily Lab registration and co-ordination of product sampling and testing against nutritional and shelf-life testing schedules.
Assist where required in general technical duties such as Internal auditing, Traceability exercises and Preparation for Export certification.

Key duties and responsibilities
A list of principal tasks that the job holder will be expected to do without exception as part of their normal duties:
To manage all product and environmental sampling ensuring that all samples are collected to schedule and sent to the appropriate external laboratory for required analysis.
To ensure shelf-life testing is carried out to schedule requirements, with recommendations and communication for follow up action where appropriate
To generate reports for approval by the Quality & Technical manager or Head of Technical
To audit and collate production paperwork including verification of processes and raw materials used.
To generate and submit certificate of analysis as required by customers
To ensure that all rejected product is identifiable on systems and managed appropriately on return and credit notes are raised and dealt with accurately
To be an active member of the quality panel reviews ensuring that product meets specification requirements prior to site release
To deal with routine technical queries and support the production team with supply of consumables
Actively participate in the completion of product traceability challenges ensuring that all areas of concern are raised, and improvements made/recommended to the process, system or training to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with legal and customer requirements.
To be a key participant of GMP audits and Fabrication audits, investigating non-conformances and following up on the implementation of appropriate corrective actions and close outs
To be a participant of the internal audit team providing continuous improvement for ongoing development of the system and demonstration of sustainable corrective action
To participate as a key coordinating player in the preparation for and execution of third party and customer audits ensuring that all corrective action is effectively closed out
To ensure that you effectively communicate to the Quality & Technical Manager and that they are kept informed of progress and / or issues that may arise relating to products or customers
Comply with company Health & Safety policy at all times.
Attend and contribute to routine team/site meetings as requested
Covering the Systems Technologist where required.
Any other duties as stipulated by the Quality & Technical Manager.
